Act I • Background & Scope

Project Context & Strategic Challenge

Universal Acceptance (UA) is a foundational requirement for a truly global, multilingual Internet, ensuring all domain names and email addresses (including IDNs and new gTLDs) are accepted, validated, and processed correctly.

Thousands of websites, government portals, and software applications across Uganda reject newer domain extensions (like .ug, .africa, or long gTLDs) and non-ASCII email characters, excluding users.

Core Objective 1 Strategic Goal

Mobilize software developers, CIOs, and system architects to audit and update their validation libraries.
